As we step into a new month, it’s the perfect time to reflect on where you’ve been, refocus on where you’re going, and set your sights on new goals. Whether you’ve been consistent in your fitness routine or feel like you’re falling short, taking a moment to evaluate your progress can help you make real changes.
One tool that’s been essential in my journey is the Fit Fine and Flexible planner. It has kept me on track, helped me see where I’m excelling, and revealed areas where I need to improve. Having a system in place to organize your goals can be a game-changer when it comes to staying accountable.
If you’re looking to reset and refocus this month, here are a few key questions to guide your reflection and set you up for success:
1. How consistent were you with your workouts last month?
Think about how often you were able to stick to your fitness plan. Were there barriers that held you back? If so, how can you eliminate or overcome them this month?
2. Did you prioritize stretching and mobility outside of your workouts?
Flexibility is often an overlooked part of fitness, yet it's essential for longevity and avoiding injury. How much time did you spend on stretching last month, and what can you do differently in October to make it a bigger focus?
3. Are your goals aligned with long-term health and aesthetics?
It’s easy to get caught up in short-term goals, but how are you planning for long-term success? Are you thinking about how your current routine supports both your aesthetic goals and overall health for the future?
4. How did your nutrition support your fitness goals?
Nutrition plays a major role in your fitness journey. How consistent were you with your meal plan or eating habits last month? What changes will you make to ensure that your diet aligns with your fitness goals this month?
5. How are you balancing physical fitness with mental well-being?
Fitness is not just about the body; it’s about the mind too. Did you make time for rest, recovery, and mental wellness? What’s one thing you can do this month to better prioritize your mental health?
6. What’s your accountability plan for this month?
Accountability is key to staying on track. What systems do you have in place to ensure you reach your goals this month? Will you use a planner, a fitness tracker, or seek support from friends or a coach?
7. How are you making the most of your time outside of workouts?
What are you doing on the days you’re not in the gym or in a class? This is your chance to think about how you’re structuring your life and time to ensure your fitness goals are met, even when you're not actively training.
